Ryoko Adachi's book art always confronts “life. She captures the inner vibrancy of all kinds of “life,” including crystals and twigs, and her specialty is to catch its silent voice. What is amazing is that she transforms them into “something to be read” by using a visual language she has created on her own, and makes them into a book. After graduating from university, she exhibited her work in various forms, including installations, before meeting German book artists and being inspired by them, she went to Germany to study in 2003. Since then, he has continued to work with the book as his body of work. His works are held in more than 30 libraries and museums around the world, including the National Bibliothek Luxemburg in Luxembourg, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tuftsartar in Boston, and the Welcome Collection in London. 足立涼子 Ryoko Adachi 1968年東京生まれ。多摩美術大学大学院修士課程修了。インスタレーション制作を経て作品としての本を作りはじめる。ドイツのブック・アーティストたちに刺激され、2003年ブラウンシュバイク美術大学に留学（ポーラ美術振興財団より助成）。現在の拠点は東京。
