This book is a container of ink

The title of this book is "5.2g of Ink$. Yes, the amount of black ink used to print one copy of this book is 5.2g. In other words, this book contains 5.2g of ink. The book was also a container for ink, a small but significant discovery.
Raum Editions, founded by Miguel and his partner Laura Pilar Delgado, is an editorial label and publisher that prints its own books. They are always exploring ways of publishing that can be done by hand and that do not impose unnecessary burdens on the environment or people. Most of the books they have produced so far have been printed by risograph. RISOGRAPH does not use toner, so there is no need to apply heat, and since there is no need to generate heat, less power is consumed. In the process of printing his own books, Miguel could also see how much ink would be reduced to print a single book.
"The book can contain the universe," but it is only the text, pictures, and photographs that are reflected in the book as images, and it is unmistakably the ink that creates the images. This was true long before Gutenberg invented letterpress printing, and the amount of ink must have been strictly controlled in the days of manuscripts. Although the medium has changed over time, from plant and animal skins to paper, the function of ink and its significance have remained the same since ancient times, even if the raw materials have changed.
Miguel's point of view always amazes me. And it makes me believe that there is still a lot of potential in books.
