Koo Bohnchang

One of Korea's leading photographers, always captures "traces of time." As if to capture the invisible presence that resides only in quiet moments. For example, he photographs white porcelain, a cultural heritage of Korea that is rarely found in the country, from the British Museum, to Japan Folk Crafts Museum. He started collecting "white porcelain" that was scattered around the country.

He has held over 40 solo exhibitions at venues including Samsung Rodin Gallery in Seoul (2001), Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts (2002), Galerie Camera Obscura in Paris (2004), Kukje Gallery in Seoul, Kahitsukan Kyoto Museum of Contemporary Art (2006), Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (2006), Goeun Museum of Photography in Busan (2007), and Philadelphia Museum of Art (2010).
