This book was published to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Onyang Folk Museum.Carefully SelectedThis is a catalogue that introduces 300 special photos. It is a book that conveys the depth of Korean culture through photos, from "Korean life cycle," to "Korean working environment," to "Korean culture and systems."

In terms of Fragile, this is a book that really appeals to me with its palm-sized square shape, PVC cover and silver foil dyed edges. The rattan vest on the cover is also very nice.

Located about an hour by train from Seoul, Onyang Folk Museum is Korea's first folk art museum, having opened in 1978 as a private museum run by Kim Won-dae, who founded a publishing company selling children's literature. The museum covers an area of 72,727 square meters and includes the Kujeong Art Hall, the first building in Korea designed by Korean-Japanese architect Jun Itami, as well as three permanent exhibition rooms, a special exhibition room, and an outdoor exhibition area, and houses about 20,000 household items, including folk tools.

Published in celebration of the museum's 40th anniversary, this catalog presents a selection of 300 highlights from its collections. The artifacts are introduced in their order of display in the permanent exhibition halls, from “The Life Cycle of Koreans” and “The Working Environment of Koreans,” to “Korean Culture and Institutions.”
