Red Angle

This is also a book. When you open the palm-sized box, which is wrapped with a strip of paper like a Japanese sweet fold, you will find a red elastic cord, a clasp, and a simple instruction sheet. This is also a project that can only be completed when the purchaser practices the art prepared by the artist, Miguel. First, the two wooden dowels attaached to each end of the elastic are fixed to the wall, and then the clasp is fixed to the top center of the line, which is the "apex" of the line.

In this book, Miguel discusses the technical and functional "angles" that are essential to the practice of painting. While the element of angle is extremely important, especially with regard to perspective, this agenda has been relegated to the background of the work. Indeed, although the history of perspective is believed to have begun in ancient Greece around the 5th century B.C., no evidence has been found that Hellenistic painters understood the precise mathematical laws to achieve correct representation, although they were able to create the illusion of depth in their works.

This work conveys that the elements that have sustained art up to this point acquired visibility and thus became major and autonomous elements.
