Fascinated by the transience of ephemera, an antiquarian bookshop owner.

As a store specializing in ephemera, which is still rare in Japan, the store handles traces (primary documents) of people who lived from the end of the 19th century to the 20th century and things that once existed. Due to the nature of their products, many of them are unique in the world. The store is unique in that many of the items are housed in three vermilion cabinets and a box for documents. In November 2021, the store celebrated its 25th anniversary and joined FRAGILE BOOKS.

Masago Sato
1961年東京生まれ。立教大学経済学部経済学科卒。株式会社パルコ、PRプロダクション等を経て1996年、大岡山(現・目黒線)駅近くで古書店「日月堂(にちげつどう)」を開業。2002年、表参道に移転。床を赤、棚をオレンジ色に塗りこめた4.5坪の店が話題となる。2023年、拠点を大田区北千束に移転。取り扱い中心分野は芸術・美術・デザイン 並びにモダニズム・ 都市文化関係、日欧文化交流に関する歴史・相互影響関係（とくに日仏関係）、 表象文化研究など。1910～30年代を中心として 19世紀末～1960年代頃までに発行・制作された書籍から紙モノまで。
